Hey Steve. I used a 300mm f/2.8 with an extender on a 1D Mark 3. For the wider shots it was a 70-200mm f/2.8 on the same camera. It was a pretty fun assignment and pretty crazy to see how close these large packs of wolves were to major highways, homes and cities. I’d be looking over my shoulder anytime I’m out near a deerstand where baiting is an ongoing activity. The DNR pilot said those are common areas to find wolves.
