Engagements and Weddings…

From now on, I am going to start updating my blog with pictures from engagement sessions and weddings that I am shooting.  The end of this month through September is going to be really busy for me with about four weddings in five weeks.  However, I've already started shooting some weddings and engagement sessions and the more I do these, the more I am liking them.  Here are a few shots from the past few weeks...

The first three were from an engagement session I did with Anastasha and Ryan who live in Rochester, MN.  We went to the Hartley Nature Center, which I had only visited extensively in the winter while photographing assignments for the Duluth News Tribune.  Hartley Nature Center in Duluth is one of the more popular parks in the city and when taking a run along the many trails it offers, it's not uncommon to see everything from turtles to deer run in front of you or almost into you as you meander around.

Now, I normally won't combine images from different engagements and weddings, but I'd like to get these in before the season heats up.  The next set of images are from the wedding of Shawn and Hayley.  Shawn was the brother of my college roommate Brandon.  I'd see Shawn a couple times a year when he would come up to visit friends at UW.  Him and Hayley met at UW-La Crosse and like Anastasha and Ryan above, both work at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  The wedding took place with an awesome backdrop of a small lake.  It was near perfect weather and it was great to shoot a wedding with friends in attendance.
